He also wrote, composed and sang the songs. He released these 8 songs in 3 albums. The 1st released album of these was the record breaking song "You Know". That means Sri Lanka's first Tamil song, composed by a Sri Lankan Tamil, proved that Sri Lankan musicians can also compose music, Indian cinema and individual artists can make a mark in the world of music, and that too can be done in Sri Lanka. "King of Melody of Eelam" M.P.Paramesh composed "You Know I Know You" is a song he composed for his love for his girlfriend. Not only that, he also released Sinhala songs in his 4th album. These Sinhala songs are already released in 3 other Tamil albums with lyrics and music composed by M.P.Paramesh. He changed the language of them into Sinhala and made Sinhala singers to sing them and again went on a new path and made Tamil artists proud. It is noteworthy that M.P.Paramesh himself had sung the song Do you know in Sinhala also.
